17.01.2021 - Snowfall

Heavy snowfall has hit Zürich. In contrast to previous bouts of heavy snowfall (which haven't heappened for many years) this didn't result in the trams picking up the brunt while road traffic ground to a halt. On the contrary, there was virtually no tram operation on Friday (15th January) and things only slowly picked up on Saturday. There were also cancelations and service suspensions on the S-Bahn and on long-dsitance trains. In some cases disruptions were caused by falling trees. More details will follow as I learn of them.
